Lost Cat Found in New York City Prints
The story about this painting is one of the more unusual ones that the artist has to tell. The artist began painting this abstract, shortly after September 11th, 2001. She had the disaster on her mind. Shortly after she started, the scene began to evolve, showing the devastation of NYC, as it appeared in her mind. She left suddenly to answer the doorbell, and came back to find two eyes staring at her, right in the middle of the painting. She immediately knew that they were meant to be cat eyes; which represented the many animals that came close to, or did, perish in the tragedy. The little white kitten shown here, luckily, was found just in time.
