Giclée* prints are the highest quality print currently available. They are limited edition, signed, and numbered by the artist. They come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Because of their excellent quality, it is often difficult to tell a print from an original! Giclée prints are all archival. They can be printed on watercolor paper or canvas. The final image size varies depending on the original image size and proportions. These prints are normally larger than the color laser and archival prints. Watercolor Giclées usually come unmatted and unframed unless otherwise specified on the product page.

* Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) is a French word meaning “a spraying of ink”. With the advent of giclée, the art of reproducing fine art has become even more precise. Giclée's have the highest apparent resolution available today -- as high as 1,800 dpi (dots per inch). In addition, since no screens are used, the prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs and a color range that exceeds that of serigraphy. Displaying a full color spectrum, giclée prints capture every nuance of an original and have gained wide acceptance from artists and galleries throughout the world.

About the Art: Garlic Cat is a character in Claudia upcoming book. Kayo, a handsome blue British shorthair, has a passion for jazz. The keyboard is his instrument of choice, and he plays frequent duets with Mewzette. When he’s not playing in San Francisco nightclubs, he works as the chef at Fruits de Mer Brasserie. Because of his award-winning garlic shrimp scampi, he’s known by the moniker Garlic Cat.
